A good leader/party should always open to critics, accept their faults and rectify it.

Today I came across a speech by the DPM- in- waiting Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin in the star.

Barisan Nasional needs a new working format to be more accessible to
the people
, Umno vice-president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said.
“I feel that we need to bring forward a new Barisan format because the present one is a bit loose. We only work together during certain times like election campaigns.

“After that, you act on your own. MCA, Umno and MIC go their own
ways. “We don’t seem to work like one party to solve the nation’s problems,” he said after presenting a talk at Universiti Sains Malaysia yesterday.

“If there is a Chinese, Indian or Malay problem, it should not be left entirely to the MCA or MIC or Umno to solve. “We must all come to help because we share a common vision. “However, how we have been working so far is (parties) only dealing with their own communities.”

“I think the most important thing is to make Barisan more workable from the national to the state and importantly, division level where Barisan actually functions in dealing with the each voter.

“For example, if we have one Barisan office with all races working
together and dealing with the problems of a particular community, then this creates a picture of a new Barisan and everyone helps each other and it’s not just focused on racial lines,” he said.

I really wish Tan Sri MY will play a ideal role in BN/UMNO walking towards this most awaited changes.

P/s: Well, in kawasan parliament (telok kemang) where I am from, I see UMNO,MCA,MIC and Gerakan used to work together constantly, even now, after BN lost parliament telok kemang. Pusat perkhidmatan (kawasan parlimen telok kemang) Dato Sothinathan is still functioning and performing as good as before.
