Kedah and Perlis DAP today pulled out from the state Pakatan Rakyat coalition, saying the PAS - led government was not giving equal treatment to all kedahans.

In Penang, HINDRAF broke ties with DAP for the same reason.

lets wait and see, how long PR will survive with their motto " its all BN's fault, we are just 1 year old" .

Dirty politics is always a sin no matter who plays it or the duration of it.

for the rakyat to think.................

Here, statement from HINDRAF's Chairman against Guan Eng :

LIM GUAN ENG IS A BLATANT LIAR

I refer to the Statement of Penang Chief Minister on Malaysiakini today throwing various wild allegations against Hindraf .

I wish to reply as follows:

He has lied and mislead the Malaysian public that Hindraf had "lied"that acquiring Kg.Buah Pala would cost the State Government RM 30 Million.

He further misleads in his statement implying that Hindraf had represented that the State Government could acquire the Kg below the market value.

The above statements by Lim Guan Eng is an absolute and blatant lie deliberately calculated to mislead the Malaysian public and divert from the real issue staring at him.

It was his own Political Secretary that had issued a statement yesterday (malaysiakini) that it would cost the state RM30 million to compensate the developers.

However we are aware of his posting on a blog and widely circulated in the emails that it costs more than tens of millions to do so.

My point is simple- where did Guan Eng get this ridiculus sum from? Why is he putting the cart before the horse? Perhaps he is not getting proper advise from his State Legal Adviser or perhaps his arrogance has cloded his mind. The necessary procedures which are lenghty and elaborate are clearly provided for in Section 18-35 Land Acquisation Act. The amount of compensation to be paid are to be assessed by the Land administrator after valuations and survey. If the amount of compensation awarded by the Land administor is not acceptable by the Developer then he would have to rely on provisions of Section 36-51 of the Land Acquisation Act where the Court would determine the appropriate compensation with the assistance of assessors.

So why is he now blaming HINDRAF for his ignorance of the Law. He has to justify how his Political Secretary came up with RM30 million or even his own Statement that it would cost more than "tens of Millions". Instead he is trying to divert from the real issue.

He further states " the forcible acquisation of Kg Buah Pala involving developed land would be of frightening magnitute and the State Government did not have the financial capability to do so".

Guan Eng is definately a liar and hoodwinking the public. Kg Buah Pala is not a developed land in the first place. I may be thousands of miles away but i will vouch it is a yet to be developed land and the developers had done nothing on the piece of land as yet. So WHAT IS HE FRIGHTENED ABOUT. The villagers have been occupying the land for 200 years and the land is developed in this modern day as a cultural village by the poor and defenceless people of Penang with their own sweat and blood. If the land is worth hundreds of millions of Ringgit because it is developed then the compensation should be to the owners as they are the real developers of the land at the present moment.

Guan Eng claims that the land which is believed to be transfered under dubious manner by the previous BN Government is the fault of the previous Government. But he must remember that the actual transfer of the said land had occured during his tenure as the Chief Minister.

If the previous Government had made a fraudulent deal then he is part of the fraudulent transaction for having sanctioned the transfer after he became the Chief Minister.

The need of a roof over one's head is a basic neccessity just like food and clothing. These poor people have been there with a little space/compound (for their children to play) and a safe roof for 200 years in a piece of land given to them on trust by the Brown family. So why now rob them of the basic necessity? Guan Eng had also lied that the people was offered compensation of RM200,000 and that many had accepted the offer and moved. But in actual fact they were offered RM90,000 by developers far below market value and which is insuffient for them to buy a new property in any part of Penang and the actual number of houseowners who accepted the shortchanged deal were 7 and not many as claimed by Guan Eng ( 5 Malay families and 2 Indian families). As far as i am concerned he is a heartless man for lying and colluding with the developers in uprooting these people with a peanut offer of RM90,000. The villagers had clearly stated that it is not an issue of compensation but a matter of preserving their peaceful existence in their hereditary cultural living over a safe roof. The basic need of a safe roof is a fundamental Human Right. As a responsible Chief Minister and a man who claims to lead the Democratic Party he should be the first to protect and preserve their homes but instead robbing them of thier basic necessity and Human dignity. HINDRAF would vigourously resist any attempt to take away this fundamental right and dignity even if it means ending our friendship with DAP.

Yes I agree HINDRAF has been infiltrated by BN stooges and Police Special Branch which is trying hard to break the Movement. But i will not sit idle and see him destroy the fundamental right in the name of development of not only Indian Community but of any community for the matter.

HINDRAF calls upon other Pakatan Coalition leaders to advice this heartless Chief Minister.

Malaysia, the only country besides india, where tamil schools still survive. One of the strongest advocates of tamil education is the MIC. Pointing to the continued existence of the tamil school system as its achievement. If not for the MIC, there will not be any tamil schools.

MIC has been in the forefronts to make certain that Tamil language and culture are an integral dimension of the multi lingual and multi cultural society of Malaysia. Furthermore, the MIC continues to play a very active role to see that, Tamil school education stands on par with other primary school education. Tamil schools are a national heritage and a distinctive component of the Malaysian education system.

Lately, the government pressured by a LOUD call from malaysian indians that tamil schools in malaysia need to be brought on par with other schools in the country in terms of funding and facilities.

As the struggle for tamil school's survival continues ( increased intensity), we saw some positive responds from the ruling government recently. ( Ref: Economic package unveiled )

Yesterday, I came across a blogpost linking tamil schools and increase of crime rate among malaysian indians. ( ref: Close Down All Tamil Schools) and a reply for it ( ref: Close Down All Tamil Schools - Should We ?)

My views : as posted in Close Down All Tamil Schools - Should We ?

A reply for Brother balan's post:
Refer :Tamil Schools To Stay On

Brother balan, u've highlighted some UGLY but TRUE facts about our situation.

But i still wonder why you choose to link it with tamil schools solely?

YES, i agree we do have our cons. But does that mean we have to give away the GIFT ( malaysia is the only country besides india where tamil schools still survive)

I choose to call for pest controllers rather then burning down the building.....

who are the so called pest controllers?

its you, me and many others who choose to sit down and look in to the issue.

what can we do?

as u mentioned, the prob arises when they set foot in sec schools.

can't we find at least 10 students each to guide ?

sounds silly? well, its always depends how we choose to see it...

Every single problem has multiple simple solutions....

thank you,

Shan,

have a look at today's SUN online, The MIC the Tamil school champion, took Tamil school land for themselves ( no wonder Tamil school still without proper land). What a change you're talking about shan? Hope u can give an answer for this, please dont run like other MIC cowards...i hope.

The land MIC owns in Bandar Utama was bought for RM3 million before 2000 and the deal met all legal procedures, said party president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu. He said the then state administration of Datuk Seri Abu Hassan Omar (who was Selangor mentri besar from 1997 to August 2000) sold MIC the land for its building.

It was not meant for a Tamil school as there was already an allocation of land for one there, said Samy Vellu in response to a report in the Sun that seven parcels allotted for public amenities by the developer of the up market housing estate had been sold to private hands,as well as the MIC and Gerakan. He said he and three other MIC office bearers were holding the land in trust for the party. “If the present government wants to challenge me, I will fight them all the way,” the former works minister thundered when told that the Land Office record shows that the MIC was holding the land in trust for him.

“You tell me. Once the state government gives someone a piece of land, and it is paid for can the states take it back? Of course not!” said Samy Vellu, adding that he also had no knowledge that the land’s status is now listed as “commercial”. “No! No! No! This is not true. “The land was subdivided a long time ago for various needs, including a Malay (national)school,” he said, adding in jest: “Yes, I stole the land. It is my grandfather’s land! ”On Aug 29, the Sun reported that land meant for a surau, schools, a community hall, food courts and a fire station were surrendered instead to a used-car dealer, car showroom operators, the MIC and Gerakan.

Petaling Land Office records show that the MIC was given a 99-year lease on the 12,141sq m (about 130,000 sq ft). It was one of seven parcels surrendered by Damansara Development Sdn Bhd to the state government to build public amenities. It borders the SRJK (Tamil) Ephingham. It is learnt that the entire area exceeding 24,000 sq m had originally been set aside for the school

Do you know who is responsible for Indian crime rate? "Tepuk dada Tanya Selera".Now the crime is like cancer in our community and the medicine is with us "Makkal Sakhti".

Dear Punithan,
I fully support that we must educate Indian Youths to be good citizen and not to involve in criminal activities. However, the MIC leaders always look for thugs for their protection. A national youth leader appointed by Samy was inrfamous thug in Klang. His brother was detained under ISA because of his involvement in promoting gangstarism. Ever General Assembly of the MIC delegats were prevented from questioning Samy by Thugs. Even in a MAIKA Holding meeting Dato Subramaniam and those who questioned about the misappropriation of funds were assaulted. Thugs, in fact, were produced by the MIC and MIC was the mother of all thugs. I request, you elect decent people with clean record and then the Indians will realise that thugs and criminals have no place in MIC and the society will reject them. Clean your own house before you try to clean other's house.

If u are really what you claim you are then why:
1. You never mention anyrhing about Samy Vellu? Is he an angel or God in your eyes?
2.Why Indian are still left far behind compare to 30 years ago?
3. Why you never mention about The Maika Telekom Issue?
4. Have you ever attended MIC meeting and do you know what will happen to those raise the issue? Read carefully the police report by T and you will get some idea.
5. Why you only publish photos about the wrong doing of PR? There are 1001 photos that will tell the story of BN. Why you didn't bother to look up for them and publish?
6. Have you ever come out of your well feed home and join the community service ? If you did then you will know the real situstion of the indians.
7. We have been The Slave to BN and especially SAmy Vellu and MIC for the past 50 years why don't we give PR 5 years to prove themselves. Why you always have to expect changes within 6 months while until HINDRAF come into force indians and their problems are unknown.
8. If you go to the grass root, then you will know the people are with PR. Only UMNO AND MIC are really worried about the future. In case all their wrongs are exposed. Even GERAKAN, MCA and SAPP are up and voicing their opposition towards BN@UMNO but MIC is being a good DOG still waiting for crumbs from its master UMNO.

JUDGE ME!!!

Hello everyone,

I was indeed shocked to come across a blog post with my photo and name with some "remarks". Well, i am always open to critics. As i believe it will help me build my character and mold me into a better person.

However, I am sad to see a fellow Malaysian brother held me so lowly with vulgar and slanderous remarks. As i ponder and introspect myself, i choose to march forward with full conviction, continue serve my community and nation on the path that i choose.

I chose not to comment or retaliate against the so called "scribes" criticism, as his choice of words resembles his personality. For me, now that I have made my point, is to continue my "walk".

The blog post link : www.margeemar.blogspot.com

A Part of The "remarks"

This Scribe also hopes that this MIC slime ball going by the name of Punithan Shan (picture above left) gets exposed for the lies and spin which Malaysiakini seems to be giving him unfettered access. You can read his trash and spin here http://indiansmalaysia.blogspot.com/2008/08/mic-walking-talk-malaysiakini-in-blogs_04.html

Punithan is such a cheapskate that he adds MALAYSIAKINI on his subject title just to get his articles appear on Malaysiakini. What do you expect from a pariah MIC ass kisser? This guy is claiming in his Blog that the MIC has been doing great things for the Indian community. One look at his face will tell you that Punithan or 'Puritan' Shan is another MICputra who benefited from his ass wiping in MIC. Watch out for this guy as he is trying to split the Indian support for Pakatan Rakyat by hijacking the Hindraf struggle.

In the end of the day, this Scribe has only this to say to Punithan and all the other BN/Umno slime balls:

在这个鬼魂月,我们将看BN/Umno政权的秋天。 Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim在Permatang Pauh将上升象菲尼斯在被征服的BN/Umno政权并且带领Pakatan Rakyat到Putrajaya!

Hi Dr Punithan,

Without any prejudice.

We can view the development between PAS /UMNO as more political rather then community need . UMNO trying all it could to block PR form next government.

We should learn this from Chinese community. Whether there supporter of DAP or MCA when there is a need for community all will join hand.

As far as Indian concern, we can do it as long as the real need of community seriously given priority putting aside political believe. Be it ruling party or opposition we need to accept the fact Indians been marginalized or far behind others in Malaysia.

In my constituency, we are trying out best to bring all Indian NGO's in working together. It's not easy given different level of mentalities.

I don't deny MIC trying their best to uplift Indians now. WHY NOW??? WHY NOT last 28 years??? Since they're still with ruling government much more can be done. The Government still throwing bones to Indians while denying our rights as citizen. At the same time, what been preached must be realised.

You may contact my political secretary Mr Shan should you're able to assist him organising such a forum.

all the best

ANTI-PUTERA MIC???

Vanakkam Everybody,

I would like to share my opinion with PUTERA MIC, and all the other blogers who actively participate on forum kind of session with PUTERA MIC blog posting. After Mr. Kamalanathan came out with a posting on “‘Why would anyone want to join PUTERA MIC?’, many blogers shared their honest and frank comments and views on that matter.

Many may choose to see this as an usual anti-MIC attitude, like what I have witnessed in most blogs. But I think its beyond that. It shows many cares about MIC. Or shall I say “interested”. Being a new “thing”, PUTERA MIC is now in the spotlight. They/ We like to know/study more about PUTERA MIC.

After the post, we saw many blogers posting articles about PMIC. And many Puterans defending PMIC over the blogs. Hats Off puterans. Hats off to all the blogers who voiced out many good points and suggestions to PMIC. It may sound harsh but lets take it as opportunity to hear what the others think and most importantly what we EXPECT from PUTERA MIC.

If we analyze some of the articles, its not a anti-PMIC attitude we see there, but more to “We are INTRESTED in PMIC” kind of attitude. I think this is a AKNOWLEDGEMENT from the younger youths or shall a say 1st year Birthday gift to PMIC.

Now, PUTERA MIC blog is really CONNECTED to the blog world. So I humbly suggest that we take this opportunity to create a platform among us to share constructive views and ideas. Because I believe this can be good start to woo younger youths to work by MIC as what our President, Dato seri s samy vellu requested.

1. To the blogers who working by MIC – Lets try to give reliable explanations to the commentors who demands for explanation. And analyze how thei views and ideas can be utilized to make Putera MIC a relevant platform for the younger youths.

2. To those who have no faith in MIC, please share your views with us in a proper way. Because nobody is perfect. Everybody got a lot to learn and understand. Now the leaders now choose to take virtual informations, ideas and demand more seriously. So lets voice out in a proper manner and it will be HEARD .

3. To PUTERA MIC – PUTERA MIC may be just 1 year old. But they are the the 1st to set up a virtual platform on behalf of MIC. So PMIC please try to avoid retaliating out of emotions to ppl’s comments. As one of the official virtual platform for MIC, we show that WE CARE and proof that PMIC IS A RELEVANT PLATFORM FOR YOUNGER YOUTHS WHO HAVE INTEREST IN THE COMMUNITY AND NATION. Bloging is a powerful tool. Lets use it wisely.

I am not posting this article in behalf of other blogers. Its my personal humble view. "NEVER FEAR IN EXPRESSING YOUR THOUGHTS AND BE BOLD AND CLEAR IN YOUR CRITICISMS" .

I am sorry if I hurt anybody.

"When we speak with one voice, we will achieve our goals. When we act with one determination, nothing can stop us from fulfilling our dreams," – Dato Seri S Samy Vellu.

Regards,

PUNITHAN SHAN.

p/s: To PMIC, Wantedgal, Mr.Durai, Mr. Madhavan. I am Posting a link to your articles to this post of mine. Please forgive me for doing it without you permission. Msg me if u guys not ok with it. :). thanks.

A personal opinion to the posts below.

Vanakkam,

1st i would like to thank PMIC for coming up with this post. I am one of the many who have been asking them the question "what is PUTERA MIC and Why would anyone want to join PUTERA MIC".

I am a student studying in a foreign land. I am willing to give my full support on their call to Form PUTERA MIC International chapter.

We have to accept the fact that todays youth turn their back to 'mainstream' politics. I am talking about 18-30 years old. We have witnessed many questioning 'everything' about the 'mainstream' politics. If we talking about Indians here then i refer to MIC. Even in virtual world we find many young blogers choose to criticize the government and MIC.

What does this means? They don't have faith in MIC anymore? I don't think so. They just DONT KNOW much about it. And its NOT their fault.

For now , the fact is not only the “above 30” care about political and social situation of the country. WE care and we wish to take part also since its our country and our community.

Then y are they not supportive enough? Its because the reality is they just wont take words as “actions”. They want solid facts, they wish to see 'evident base” , they wants to experience the changes 1st hand. AND THEY WISH TO BE PART OF IT.

Now let me talk about PUTERA MIC. Its a platform created by MIC to the younger youths to participate in their activities. Its a CALL from MIC to the younger youths to voice out their views and ideas. Y choose to be out and criticize when you can come in to the system and be part of the changes that we wish for?

Y PUTERA MIC? What they doing? What they can do? Now thats the question running in many younger youths. And PMIC have the responsibilities to answer those questions or shall i say demands. As i said earlier, younger youths will rarely agree on any ideas or activities that been forced to them. They wish to be part of their own ideas.

My humble suggestion to PMIC is to 1st create a platform to share ideas from others as well. Ask what they really wants. Never hold back their views. Because 'young minds' do great thinking.

PMIC must port a article on their past and present activities. Because they need to proof what they capable of. And provide a platform to seek opinion from 'others' as well. This will shows that PMIC is really CARES.

I understand that the post “ Why would anyone want to join PUTERA MIC” by PMIC's coordinator got criticized a lot. Rather then arguing and fighting back to those criticize, i humbly request PMIC to analyze it. Because i frankly think they asking very relevant questions.

QUESTION:

PUNITHAN SHAN : we witnessed that today's indian youths had turn their back to MIC. what is putra mic's role in changing this negative view of todays youths on MIC?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ANSWER : http://puteramic.blogspot.com

Dear Mr. Punithan Shan & Mr. Durai,

Greetings and Vanakkam to you.

First let me thank both of you for visiting puteramic.blogspot.com and commenting as well. You have raised some important issues of which I will try my best to respond.

You did mention “we witnessed that today's Indian youths had turn their back to MIC”. I agree and disagree with the statement and let me explain.

Why I agree?

It is true that Youths are not to keen to be directly involved in politics and they prefer to be actively involved in NGO. I am not saying that it’s wrong for them to be involved in NGO, as, I am a strong believer that irrespective where we are and who we represent - what is important is in the delivery and we must be result oriented. As long as you can help an Indian in some way, I think that would be great.

Why I don’t agree?

For your information, at this point of time we have more than 3,000 members in Putera MIC out of which 80% of them are graduates. Also for your information, the minimum requirement to be a Putera MIC state leader is to have a first degree and all Putera MIC State Leaders have met those criteria and not only that all the National Council Members of Putera MIC also have met those criteria.

I am also indeed please to inform you, we have Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Technicians, Administrative Experts and celebrities who have joined us as Putera MIC members.

Having said all that, you may wonder what on earth we have done to get so many Young Indian Professional/Graduates with us. To give you an honest answer – We do work quietly and at times when we do our work quietly many think that we are not doing anything.

Maybe the time is up for us to shout and tell the whole world what we have been doing.

Just for your information, we have been involved in the Annual Meeting with the Universities Students to get their inputs and ideas at the same time we try our best to assist them in overcoming their issues.

Besides that, from the day we have existed, we have without fail assisted SPM and STPM students in giving them guidance in securing a place for them in the local U’s, we will give all our best and go anywhere we need to go if there is a need. Off course, all this would not be mentioned to all and we do not expect any one to thank us for all this – all we want is to make another Indian Student happy.

Right now we are working closely with CCI Foundation, Tamil Foundation and other NGO’s as well in organising a Science Fair for Young Children.
I must say besides Education, we are very much ahead in the ICT World, we started our Website one year ago and we have more than 100,000 visitors from all over the world visiting our website. We were the first Indian based political entity to organise a Bloggers Meeting which was attended by more than 40 bloggers – We started to talk about Blogging even before the 12th GE and now everyone is talking about it. I am also proud to share with you that we are the 1st Indian Based Political entity to have our own Internet TV.

My Dear Friend,

Please give us a chance to prove our worth; after all we are just one year old. In the meantime, if you have a suggestion, please do let me know.

I do hope, my reply to you both was not rude. We have plans; I don’t dream just about anything, I dream of things that I can do. I know I can do wonders with my brothers in Putera MIC as they have shown their commitment and also their support towards this moment. If you are kind and you have the time PLEASE JOIN US.

Yours sincerely

FEEDBACK :-
Dear Mr. Kamalanathan,

Your post had certainly enlightened me , if not the others about the undertakings that you're doing for the improvement of the Indian society.

Statistics alone wouldn't speak if action is not being taken time to time .Since you guys have action plans and how you're going to implement them, what is left I believe is only the progress.

Congratulations and good luck to all the things you all have done so far. I for one would not hesitate to join or support any party or NGO's for that matter as long as it serves the purpose of serving the Indian community.

It defeats the purpose of having a politically motivated organization if society is neglected.I sincerely hope with the new generation of educated Indians taking over your party, you'll strive for countless amount of achievements and success.

Please keep us in the loop for any activities . I would be glad to be part of something that is useful to society.

P.S: You were not rude with your answer and please don't feel so. Instead you were professional enough which convinces me whatever you're trying to explain is true .

Thank you.

Hie guys..... i am a malaysian indian.... i will give my heart and soul for anything that promises our well being in malaysia.....i am NOT anti- Hindraf......i am NOT a blood traitor.... i am just doing some reality check...

The election is over.... the ppl have spoken..... the indians (MIC) has lost almost 80% ... we have now 3 government voices in parliament and 7 in opp (if i am not mistaken).... we have 1 EXCO member in each state atleast... 4 opp and 3 govt.....as they say, the opp won by riding in makkal shakti's waves........thats the reality now.........

so the question is whats next?? BN and BR are both too buzy with their own internal problems and aims..........

1) BN hit by a political tsunami
2) DAP is very bz fighting for MB and TMB post with PAS..
3) PAS is bz claiming that they have nothing to do with DAP and will always fight for MORE Islamic government...
3) Keadilan is very bz politicking to make sure anwar's "come back".
4) sabah and sarawak celebrating their alomost 100% victory.

What about us??????? MIC lost almost everything and hindraf is frustrated with the ISA-5 issue ..... ( everybody hoped that YB mano will be appointed as selangor TMB. but he was not even made as an exco. and DAP claims that, if there ever will be a selangor TMB post it will be for them)

I know its too early to judge the opp...... but they need to be get checked rite? will they fight for our rights or are they just USING us against US.... Are we fighting for our rights or r we fighting among ourself (MIC)?? is this for good?? or are are we being "USED" ??. All these questions are too early to be answered...........

while waiting for the future...y dont we look back into our pasts......look into the 62 years of MIC's history....... look for answers...... seek the truth.....

1) has MIC been sleeping for past 62 years?
2) have they done NOTHING for the indians??
3) are they cheating the Indians??
4) MIC never ever fought for the indians rights??
5) is it not true that 8000 students are aided by MIED?? or only MIC's cronies are getting all the privileges???
6) is it true that TAFE and AIMST are there to promises our education's future in malaysia?? or is it just a political drama??
7) isnt it true that MIC has been fighting hard to preserve Hinduism in an islamic country ( look around at other countries) and managed to build a huge lord murugan statue in batu caves...
8) is MIC too scared to protect our own temples???
9) for the past 25 years, has dato seri samy vellu just been concern about his own wellbeing?? has he never spoken for the indians???
10) is there truth behind the statement of so many Ex- ministers saying that "Dato seri samyvellu will take down the whole cabinet by himself when it comes to indian's issues"......??
11) isn't it true that dato sothinathan was suspended from the cabinet for 3 months, just because he was fighting for the future of indian medical students??
12) isn't it true YB dewamani stood up against the government over the hindrar'd issue??

there are 10000000000000000....sss questions like this brothers and sisters........

so lets find the truth behind all that..... lets find out if MIC is still relevant for us ??? are we going to fight by being in it and by making it more relevant for us?? or are we just gonna dedicate our "makkal shakti" to pakatan rakyat??

we gave 2nd chance to anwar...the man who told that there wont be any temple in penang if ppl go against him in kampung rawa issue.... the man who has been in the main picture when our rights have been slowly erazed from the government arena as claimed.....

so y not stay together and fight for our rights from a more relevent MIC.....and by being in the system???......

I am not doing some cheap campaign for MIC... i am just voicing out my opinions.... i am just posting info's about the questions above......
This is for MALAYSIAN INDIANS..........
